What is International Night?
International Night is an annual cultural appreciation event hosted at Savannah Arts Academy. In previous years, the Spanish Honors Society sponsored the event, but we got so big, we made had to make our own club! We have a variety of models to display the traditional wear of various countries, performers to show dances and songs and booths with tastes from around the world.
What are the requirements to be a part of it next year?
If you want to be a part of it next year, let Mrs. Verwiel know at the beginning of the year when we do sign ups. The most important things are the rehearsals and dress rehearsals.
Models: As long as you're comfortable walking the cat walk, you can be a model. Also, if you want to represent a country, you do not have to necessarily be from that country. You can model what you want!
Performers: As long as your act is less than 3 minutes, is approved by Mrs. Verwiel at rehearsal, and accurately represents the country, you can participate! We love seeing what our arts school can do!
Booths: No rehearsals necessary, however, you do have display information
about your country in an effective way. Food is also a great idea. Other than
than that, its up to you. Be as creative as you desire!
