International Night has been moved to January 11, 2018 at 6:30pm this year! We will get call times out to those who are involved as soon as possible so that everyone can be on the same page!
MEETING SCHEDULE:
MODELS
Please visit Acme Costumes in Garden City during the first week of December to get fitted for your costumes! If you have not spoken to Mrs. Verwiel about getting a costume from Acme, you must do so before Thanksgiving break (Tuesday, November 21, 2017). You need to let them know that you are a student coming from Savannah Arts to get fitted for an International Night costume for (insert country here). YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT EVERY REHEARSAL. If you are absent from a rehearsal, you are cut from the show, not allowed to join the organization next year, and are now responsible for your costume.
PERFORMERS:
If you have music you are singing to, please get that to Makenzie Jeffries before we get released for Christmas Bread (Friday, December 15, 2017) to ensure that we have it for the show. Make sure that you have a copy of this as well as you will not get it back until after the show. YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT EVERY REHEARSAL. If you are absent from a rehearsal, you are cut from the show and not allowed to join the organization next year.
BOOTHS:
Please make sure that you have a white tablecloth, flag from your nation, a sign stating the country that you are represented, and items for your booth. I would recommend having artifacts from that nation as well as food. REMEMBER, we are not feeding everyone, just giving a taste of the cuisine from your nation. Please choose something that is not too messy. It gets very crowded in the hallways during the event and people can very easily bump into others or drop the food, keep it clean please. Have items for your food to be served in, such as cups or mini plates. If someone already has a plate then offer to just use that plate and save the environment. We are shutting down promptly at 8:30. At that time, thank the guests for coming and nicely inform them that the event is now over. We are not setting up tables for booths immediately after school so if you are planning to stay, please know that we won't start setting up the tables until around 4.
